In 2024, the Kicks benefits from a 122-horsepower, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter gas engine. Its three trim levels all have the same front-wheel drivetrain and continuously variable transmission. The base S trim level will be outfitted with rear drum brakes in 2024, while the SV and SR will come with rear disc brakes. In 2025, the Kicks replaced the 1.6-liter engine with a 141-horsepower, 2.0-liter system. Additionally, all-wheel drive is offered as an upgrade for the first time in the next-generation Kicks. Another change between the 2024 and 2025 model years is the expansion of ground clearance from seven inches to 8.4 inches.

Features

While many of the features in the 2024 model year carry over to the 2025 Kicks, there are a few differences between these crossovers. You will find a new 7-inch or 12.3-inch central display screen in the redesigned cabin. The Zero Gravity seats available only in the front seat in the 2024 model year are standard features for both rows in 2025. In addition, the 2025 Kicks SR now has lane-keeping assistance.
